Moari language Week

Moari Language Week

What I have learned from Moari language week is that there are different meanings for different animals and horse is maori is hoiho (Its my favourite animal). We also worked on our mihi's I have finished mine, but I have thought about doing a personal interest thing where I talk about what I like to do at home and my hobbies and to make it challenging I want to do it in maori , but most probably I would use a translator because it's pretty hard.

  1. Kia Ora Divya,
I loved horses when I was your age, I used to take riding lessons (Mrs Dillner loves horses too!). I am so impressed with the challenge you have given yourself with your mihi and I look forward to reading it when you finish- ka pai! Remember to aim for 6-10 sentences per blog post please Divya and check your spelling as well (Maori not Moari). You could try google translate or try http://www.digitaldialects.com/Maori.htm to learn more Maori.

  2. I liked how you set a challenged for yourself to write about your personal interest and your hobbies in Maori. You can work on your spelling because you spelt Maori as Moari. I also liked that you finished your mihi.
